• To use your Empire lampshade with a table or standing lamp, you'll need a Shade Carrier (sold separately). This ensures you get the right fit and stability, as the shade carrier supports the lampshade securely. A shade carrier supports the lampshade, ensuring it sits securely and stays in the correct position.
• Good news: you don’t need to remove the light bulb when fitting or removing the lampshade—the shade simply lifts on and off, making cleaning and dusting a breeze!

Shade Carrier Size and Positioning

• The size of the shade carrier determines how high or low your lampshade will sit. To help visualise this, imagine a larger shade carrier making the shade sit higher to showcase more of your lamp base, while a smaller carrier will keep the shade lower, hiding more of the base.
• We've provided recommended sizes below, but feel free to choose based on your preference for how much of your lamp base you’d like to show off.
